Serie A, Verona-Turin: Vlasic troubles the Scala family
A beautiful goal by the
grenade player in the 29th minute brings the ghosts of Serie B back to
Zaffaroni's team, now colorless
Torino passes to the Bentegodi of Verona and troubles the Gialloblù, now paired in third from last place together with Spezia. Vlasic decides the challenge in the Vlasic on 29'. Trial off by Zaffaroni's men, unable to recover the disadvantage and make themselves too dangerous.
In the starting lineup, there is no Duda to which Ngonge is preferred. Vlasic, who lined up alongside Karamoh behind Sanabria, scored the grenade's lead on 29' from the edge of the area. They also knock on Silvestri's door with Vojvoda, served by the lively Karamoh on the first occasion and in solitary action on the second. Verona was not lucky, forced to replace Magnani due to injury in the 22nd minute with Coppola, who was too soft on Vlasic for the Croatian's goal.
Verona was anxious about having to make a comeback and at the start of the second half they had to replace two men: Cabal and Duda took the place of Dawidowicz and Verdi. After 13' the white flag also for the Slovak, replaced by Braaf. The barycentre of the landlords rises a bit: in the 57th minute Ngonge is countered at the most beautiful by Singo. After the rebound, Lazovic chipped the post into a semi-empty goal.
With 15' left to go, Ricci
overtook Hien and, in beaten Montipò, sensationally closed wide. Singo nearly
hit the knockout twice with Verona leaning forward. Substitute Pellegri also
tries, but once again Montipò puts a piece of it. The last chance
belongs to Braaf who shoots high from a good position. For the former Juric, it
is the second consecutive victory at the Bentegodi against 'his' Verona.
Taurus is now eighth in the standings.
